Phoenix Family Housing
Over the last several years, 2move4free has had the honor of assisting one special organization within the Kansas City metro area, Phoenix Family Housing. I would like to take a moment and place emphasis on the wonderful job and true goodness PF [Phoenix Family] brings to numerous families within the Kansas City area.
It was my pleasure to meet the Executive director of PF, Mrs. Kimber Myers-Givner several years ago when we were called upon to assist a local charity. At first I was very hesitant due to my lack of knowledge about the charity and what we were to be doing. My reservation was lifted quickly when we showed up at the hotel that was donating furniture for their use. I’m sure several readers can vouch that when a company volunteers their services to some charities that company is often times taken advantage of by the charity… let me explain. We are a moving company and we have been asked on numerous occasions to assist various charities and we have done so. In doing so, we have left various charitable functions feeling as if we were abused by the charity in the name of doing community good. That was not the case with Phoenix Family Housing! When we arrived it was immediate appreciation for our service and Mrs. Givner even had a small army of volunteers willing, waiting and ready for us to load the trucks! The entire time my crew was assisting PF all they [my crew] could talk about was how the employees and volunteers of PF were so grateful for our assistance. This is a rare and warming feeling that at the end of hard work week when my crew volunteers their time, to find that they want to be apart of the next project when asked if its from Phoenix Families!
With this being said, please take a moment to check out Phoenix Family Housing… the good that they bring to our community and the families that they touch year after year. And if you ever get a phone call from Phoenix Family asking for your company’s time, I can assure you… its worth it knowing you will see and experience the immediate gratitude from those they help!
Thank you Phoenix Family for bringing our family to your family to Kansas City.
